Gargoyle Gecko Terrarium Set-Up

Gargoyle Geckos are incredible little animals that make an excellent pet. They’re similar to Crested Geckos but grow a bit bigger, and need their environment to be a little bit hotter. They are a little more secretive, but with time they can be just as friendly. This set up incorporates everything you need for your Gargoyle Gecko to have a long, happy life. Good quality, forest level UV, day and night time heating and plenty of space.

All that’s left to add is substrate, branches and greenery. We plan out our set-ups keeping the animals welfare and quality of life as the most important thing.

This habitat kit has been created using all our experience of keeping gargoyle geckos and extensive product knowledge; it has been designed specifically to give your new pet lots of space to move, and to make sure that they have a good temperature gradient and access to low levels of UV. Using our habitat kit for your crested gecko will make sure that your pet lives a long and happy life!

The terrarium we use is a great entry level enclosure for this species of gecko. Large enough to keep an adult happy, a baby gecko will be just as happy with the large amount of space available to them. With the speed of growth of young geckos, they will appreciate the extra space to climb and jump, and have no problems finding their food in this terrarium.

Heating is provided by a heat projector. This will provide a basking spot during the day for the snake, and will also gently heat the air in the vivarium, providing a heat gradient across the whole space.

The touch screen thermostat can be set to control your heat projector in a dimmer setting.  Touchscreen operation and an intuitive interface make this unit simple to program, and with a five-year guarantee it’s also excellent value for money.

One of the most important items of equipment in all of reptile keeping is the digital thermometer! The thermometer/hygrometer that we include with this habitat is reliable, robust and with two probes it’s possible to monitor both the cool and warm ends of the vivarium at the same time. One probe will also record the humidity.  We have been using these units for years now, both in store and personally – and we think that they are just right for keeping track of the temperatures in your pets’ enclosure.
