Creating a livefood subscription

Reptiles can make amazing pets but with their very… specific diets, it can be difficult to provide for them. Afterall, you can’t find crickets in the supermarket pet aisle, we hope. The best place to buy food for your scaly friend would be at a specialist reptile shop but unfortunately, trusty reptile shops cannot be found around every corner so if you aren’t lucky enough to live near us, or just have a very busy schedule, it may be difficult to obtain high quality liv food on a weekly basis. But worry no more! We at have you covered with our livefood subscription service! Yes, a subscription service that delivers live bugs straight to your door as often as you need them, what more could you want?


Setting up your subscription is easy, you just need to:

  1. Go into our website and click “livefood subscription” under the “food” column.
  2. Select what livefood you would like to receive and how often.
  3. Proceed to check out as normal.

First of all, you need to choose what livefood you would like. There is a range of bugs to choose from so head to our livefood subscription page here:

Additionally, you can access this section of our page by going to the “food” heading on our website homepage and selecting “livefood subscription” from the drop down menu. 

On this page there are a variety of bugs to choose from. Just select the type of bug and size of bug, and away you go!
You can select how many bugs you need, starting from pre-packs, all the way up to bulk bags!! That’s a lot of bugs. You can also decide how often you need them. You can choose to receive them weekly, fortnightly, three weekly or monthly. Once you have chosen how many and how often, just select “sign up now” to add them to your cart.

Now just select your cart icon in the top corner: and proceed to checkout. You will have to input your information: name, address, etc, as standard with buying online. Your cart will show you your total to pay each week, all you need to do then is select the “sign up now” button and you’re all done, it’s as easy as that! 

Cancelling a Subscription

If you change your mind about having a subscription with us, it is easy to cancel. You just need to go to our website: and select “my account” in the top right of the page. Here you will see a list on the left hand side, where you can select “subscriptions.” This will allow you to see your current subscriptions with us and cancel them if you would like. However, please note that if you wish to cancel a subscription you must do it before the renewal date of your subscription to avoid being charged and receiving more bugs!

Amending a Subscription

Let’s say you already have a livefood subscription with us and you want to change it slightly, perhaps your pet is moving up a size in its food, this can be done in 2 different ways. You can either follow the steps above to cancel your existing subscription and place a new one with your updated order, or you can send us an email at: that includes your name and how you would like to change your subscription and we change it for you. As said above, due to the processing time of subscriptions, if you are wishing to cancel or amend an existing subscription, you will have to do it before your subscription renewal date otherwise you may still be charged and receive the order.
