Large, gentle herbivores that spend their days trundling through the leaf litter, giant millipedes make very good pets – especially for children.

A very low maintenance but rewarding pet, there’s something satisfying about watching your millipede munching through a pile of dead leaves. Unlike many invertebrates they are fine to be handled.
Give them enough space to stretch out, a deep substrate to bury in and a good thick layer of leaf litter and your millipede will be happy for several years.
