10 Years in Kidlington – A Decade of Growth and Community

It’s hard to believe we’ve been part of the Kidlington community for ten years!

Back in May 2015, we made the exciting move from our previous shop in Oxford, and it’s proven to be one of the best decisions we’ve ever made. Over the years, we’ve had the privilege of meeting hundreds of incredible people—and animals—and watching our business thrive.

We’re always looking for ways to improve and grow. In-store, we constantly reassess how we operate, refining our processes to create an even better experience for our customers. Meanwhile, our website continues to go from strength to strength, welcoming new visitors and sharing valuable care information for all the wonderful creatures we work with.

Our boarding facility grows busier each year, allowing us to meet more of your beloved animals, learn their unique personalities, and see them grow over time.

Breeding has also been a major part of our journey. Over the years, we’ve hatched countless animals, and this year, we’re focused on breeding leopard geckos, mourning geckos, bearded dragons, and a few species of stick insects. There’s nothing quite like witnessing a tiny head breaking through an eggshell—it never gets old!

Of course, our time in Kidlington hasn’t been without its challenges.

In 2018, a car crashed into the front of our shop—an unforgettable moment to say the least! Then came the Coronavirus pandemic, which was tough on everyone. Most recently, in 2024, we faced a massive flood caused by a burst water pipe in the flat above us.

But through it all, we’ve never backed down. We tackle challenges head-on, fix what needs fixing, and keep moving forward.

This year, our focus remains on serving our customers—both online and in-store—ensuring we have the products and species you’re looking for. We’ll also continue to share plenty of updates and photos on facebook and instagram, so stay connected and be part of the journey!
