ProRep Calci Dust – Essential Calcium Supplement for Reptiles

ProRep Calci Dust provides a natural calcium source for reptiles and amphibians, ensuring they receive the essential minerals needed for healthy development. Made from 100% natural calcium carbonate with no additives, it helps prevent deficiency diseases and supports strong bones and proper growth. The micro-fine particles adhere easily to both live insects and plant material, making it ideal for dusting food. Tortoises and lizards readily accept this supplement, ensuring effortless incorporation into their diet.

How ProRep Calci Dust Supports Reptile Health

Calcium plays a critical role in the diet of all reptiles and amphibians. Many foods used in captivity lack sufficient calcium or contain high levels of phosphorus, which inhibits calcium absorption. Adding Calcium to meals ensures reptiles receive balanced nutrition, reducing the risk of metabolic bone disease.

For tortoises and herbivorous lizards, simply sprinkle Calci Dust over fresh vegetable matter right before feeding. This allows for easy ingestion, ensuring a consistent calcium intake with every meal.

How to Use ProRep Calci Dust on Live Foods

For insect-eating reptiles, place a small amount of Calci Dust in a plastic bag with live insects, then shake gently to coat them. Feed the insects immediately, while the powder remains attached. To slow the insects down, briefly cool them before dusting—this ensures they’re eaten quickly. Since overdosing isn’t possible, this can be used at every feeding, though excessive amounts may be unpalatable to some animals. Start with small doses, gradually increasing until your reptile adjusts to the taste.

Calcium for Leopard Geckos

Leopard geckos readily eat Calci Dust-coated insects, following the same dusting method above. Additionally, they benefit from a small bowl of calcium powder placed inside their vivarium, allowing for self-regulated intake when needed.

UVB Light & Vitamin D3 – Essential for Calcium Absorption

Reptiles and amphibians cannot absorb calcium effectively without adequate vitamin D3. Provide proper UVB lighting to stimulate natural D3 production, or supplement their diet with oral vitamin D3. Using a vitamin/mineral supplement alongside Calcium further supports reptile health and bone strength
