Gentle and slow, these are bizarre looking but harmless relatives of the spiders that are sometimes known as whip scorpions, due to the long slender tail.

Our animals are only available for collection in store. Speak to our care team, or visit us in-store to purchase your new pet.

Chunky and slow moving, this species can grow to 4 to 6cm and make a fascinating pet species. They don’t bite or sting, but if they get really upset they are capable of spraying acetic acid (vinegar) toward the threat. All this does to human skin is make it smell of vinegar – although it is sensible to keep it away from your eyes.

They do like to burrow, and have a slow metabolism which makes it easy to overfeed.
