Comments

When visitors leave comments, we collect the information entered into the comment form along with the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent. This helps us detect and prevent spam.

We may send an anonymised hash of your email address to the Gravatar service to check whether you use it. You can read Gravatar’s Privacy Policy here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. Once your comment is approved, your profile image becomes publicly visible alongside your comment.

Media

If you upload images, please ensure they do not contain embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Other visitors can download images from the site and extract any location data stored within them.

Cookies

Choosing to leave a comment allows you to save your name, email address, and website in cookies for future convenience. These cookies last for one year.

Visiting the login page triggers a temporary cookie to check whether your browser accepts cookies. It contains no personal data and is removed when you close your browser.

Logging in sets several cookies that store your login details and display preferences. Login cookies last for two days, and screen‑options cookies last for one year. Selecting “Remember Me” keeps your login active for two weeks. Logging out removes the login cookies.

Editing or publishing an article adds another cookie to your browser. It stores the post ID of the article you edited and expires after one day.

Embedded Content from Other Websites

Articles may include embedded content such as videos, images, or external articles. This content behaves exactly as if you visited the external website directly. Those websites may collect data, use cookies, run third‑party tracking, and monitor your interaction with the embedded content—especially if you are logged in to their service.

Who We Share Your Data With

If you request a password reset, your IP address is included in the reset email.

How Long We Retain Your Data

Comments and their metadata are stored indefinitely so we can recognise and approve follow‑up comments without manual moderation.

For registered users, we store the personal information provided in their profile. Users can view, edit, or delete their personal information at any time, except for their username. Website administrators can also access and edit this information.

Your Data Rights

If you have an account or have left comments, you can request an exported file of the personal data we hold about you. You may also ask us to delete any personal data we hold, except information we must retain for administrative, legal, or security reasons.

Where Your Data Is Sent

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam‑detection service.

Omnisend

Our Omnisend for WooCommerce plugin syncs customer and store data to Omnisend for email and SMS marketing. Depending on your activity, this may include your contact details, billing and shipping addresses, order history, and product interactions.

Omnisend stores this data according to its own retention policies. Existing customers and orders sync automatically once the plugin is connected, and new contacts are created or updated when you register, log in, update your profile, or place an order.

At checkout, optional newsletter and SMS opt‑in boxes record your marketing consent before sending it to Omnisend. The plugin also loads a tracking snippet that sets cookies to identify visitors and track browsing behaviour, cart contents, and purchases for abandoned‑cart recovery.

You can request access to, export of, or deletion of your personal data. Omnisend’s Privacy Policy: https://www.omnisend.com/privacy/ Terms of Use: https://www.omnisend.com/terms
