Corn snakes originate in North America and can be found in many areas of Central and Southern United States. This type of animal is very popular amongst pet owners due to their reluctance to bite, attractive skin pattern and their calm nature.
Corn snakes can be housed in glass or wooden vivariums. We recommend 2ft long vivariums for young snakes and 3ft vivariums for larger snakes.
One defrosted mouse fed weekly to corn snakes is plenty. We recommend defrosting food overnight in your fridge and allow it to get to room temperature before feeding your snake. Do not defrost in warm water as this can cause bacteria to spread. Mice should be no bigger than the largest body part of your snake.
Corn snakes are very easy to keep and maintain. Be sure to clean and disinfect your vivarium on a weekly basis and, if necessary, change your pet’s substrate monthly and completely disinfect the house and decor.
