Bearded Dragons have become one of the most popular pet reptiles. They are gentle, intelligent and confident lizards, which makes them interesting and rewarding pets. They grow to around 600mm in length and show real personality. They are easy to care for and are regularly bred in captivity.

This set up has been compiled specifically for Bearded Dragons using high quality products and will cater for their requirements, including UV lighting, basking lights, heating and vitamin supplement.

UV Lighting

Bearded Dragons require UV light to help use calcium from their diet and prevent Metabolic Bone Disease. We recommend using lamp with 10% UVb such as Zoo Meds ReptiSun 10.00. These lamps need replacing every 12 months.

Basking Lights

These are used to raise the temperature in one area of the vivarium to around 45c.

Heating

Bearded Dragons need a background heat of around 30c. This is done using a ceramic heater on a thermostat; these heat the air much more effectively than a heat mat. The thermostat we use is the Habistat Temperature Thermostat as these are very reliable and easy to use
