A broad spectrum daylight spot lamp with a Neodymium sleeve.
The spectrum is ideal for plant photosynthesis and the UVA (ultraviolet A) light contributes to reptiles’ physiological well-being. The spot allows one to direct the heat and light in a certain direction to create basking sites in the terrarium.

Not designed to replace UVB lights

Good value but they do blow now and again but last longer than the supermarket brands.

My first one of these bulbs appeared to have overheated and broken, with the metal sleeve detaching from the glass. It was still actually operating but was twisted inside the fitting and took a long time to extract.

My second bulb has blown within only a few weeks.

All in all, very unimpressed with Exo-Terra's lighting products as I have also had one of their Repti-Glo UV tubes which also blew within a few weeks.
Other manufacturers' products have been working in the same setup for weeks and weeks without any issues now, so it is obviously the bulbs at fault.
