The Bright Control is necessary for the operation of the Bright Sun UV Lamps. It contains electronic ballast, igniter and a capacitor in side the gearbox. An electronic ballast is preferred over the electromagnetic ballast as used in the Bright Control as it is more efficient and increases lamp life. The spectrum of Bright sun UV lamps will stay fairly constant during its life cycle when using an electronic ballast. When a Bright Sun lamp is used with an electromagnetic ballast it will show a significant change to the spectrum especially towards the end of the life. The Bright Control Pro can ensure the best light quality. In Addition the Bright control Pro Will automatically shut off broken or not igniting lamps for safety.
The higher purchase cost are quickly redeemed through lower energy consumption and longer lamp life.
A lamp holder such as the T Rex Ceramic lamp holder is required.
Note that the Cable length between the gearbox and the lamp should not exceed 2.5m to ensure correct operation of the lamp.
