About Us
Evolution Reptiles is an Internet based business supplying specialist products for reptile keepers, ranging from beginners to experienced breeders.
Owned and operated by myself, Pete Milligan. I have been keeping reptiles for most of my life. I started breeding reptiles when I was 16 with corn snakes and quickly moved on to other species such as Plumed Basilisks, Water Dragons, Bearded Dragon, Leopard geckos, Common boas to name a few. But feel my biggest achievement was to breed Razorback Musk Turtles at the first attempt in 2005. I have also worked in the reptile trade for many years starting at 16 in a reptile centre near Oxford.
I have also been lucky enough to spend over 2 years travelling in Australia and New Zealand. While in Australia I spent 1 month working at Crocodylus Park which is a crocodile farm and research centre and spent 4 months in the Daintree Rainforest.
On my return to the UK I quickly found a job at the Northampton Reptile Centre. I spent 4 years working there, only leaving in December 2006 to move to Devon with my girlfriend, who is vet working with pet and farm animals.
This became the perfect opportunity to set up my own business.
I have received a lot of help from friends, family and The Princes Trust getting Evolution Reptiles up and running.
When I am not in the office I enjoy many outdoor pursuits, such as hiking, power kiting, mountain biking and road cycling. In the past I have competed in mountain and road bike races, although I am having a rest this year to concentrate on Evolution Reptiles.
As you can see I have 12 years experience of reptile care, as well as extensive experience in breeding many different species.
